Looks good Alan. Really looking forward to fishing a full schedule this year. I will start working on Buchanan to try to get a little added $$$ . With this amount of lead time should be able to come up with something. give me a call.
My Aggie is engaged to a CT. They're both graduating in May. Wedding soon after. I have strict orders that I cannot skip the wedding for a striper tournament.

I am glad you explain that I thought you were gonna have 2 wifes LOL It rain here without you no lighting though
Are there still openings for teams to participate ? I may be able to scrounge up some folks for my boat - or if not - is anyone looking for a good net man? I'm game for sure. I'm not the best fisherman in the world but can definitely hold my own. Just let me know.

PM Sent Team Jawbreaker is taking applications for a new net boy.
I am really looking forward to fishing a full schedule this year. For those on the fence come on out and fish. Great bunch of people and kids are encouraged to fish. My 7yr old daughter loves the trophys she recieves. She is already asking when is the next one.

What is going to be the determining factor on the last tournament on whether or not it will be Texoma or Whitney?
Which ever one that Team Sharcbait gets to prefish the most
All kidding aside, Alan runs a great tournamant. Good people and alot of fun. I enjoyed it last year, but with all the irons i now have in the fire, i cant commit to all the tournies, So Holzer is gonna need a new team mate ( heaven help the new guy )
Guess Team Odd Couple aka Jawbreaker will no longer be.
Yes, it will not be the same Jawbreaker. It's going to be a hard change for me. That look that I would get from Kerry at 4 a.m. to go catch bait was priceless. I would have gotten a picture but he always had to wear that damn knife on his belt.
Some big changes in Team Jawbreaker are in the making. Can't say anything at the moment. Captain Holzer is still working the National Striped Bass Association Draft. I have a eye for talent and good drink specials. I'm recruting a couple guys right now. You never know, one might end up being a secrete weapon.

Im gonna leave that one alone also, If i bring up the fact that i thought it was a useless waste of time, then this thread will turn to a war about artificial vs bait, Then whats the best way to keep bait alive, who is the best artificial producer, etc,etc,etc.......We all know how that will turn out
I may be off but I would say that anywhere from 1-6 people and 2-4 being common. Our team fished the last three tournaments if this year. We had four adults and one junior. Mostly depends on room and comfort. I figure this coming season, we will have a short crew till it warms up some. I got a couple crew who hates the cold. Lol

Its nice to have a full crew. Most folks don't understand how hard it is to keep up with all the things that go with running a tournament boat. Many hands make lite work......

That is true. I have recruited two friends of mine who are awseome fisherman and bring unique talents to the team.

Any luck finding someone to fish the tourney season with you??
I think he crashed the PM system.
Ha! No, I just had to step away from the computer for a while
Jawbreaker will be fishing the 2012 TSA and may have a new full time partner as well as a couple add-in's through out the schedule. It's still not official. He has to pass a couple of the rookie tests. Just a couple things to pass the skills test like: throw the net, snell a hook, take a beverage out of Sharc's cooler, be in the same room as Piggy Perch for more than 5 minutes, etc. etc. Just some small stuff.
Snelling a hook??? How do you do that?? I just buy the eagle claw already smelled hooks........ You have some strict requirements...... I'm goin to have to add that to my application......

The first two I have no problem with, and I usually bring my own beverages but if a beverage recon mission is necessary - so be it - cant go thirsty, but I must say I am curious as to who this Piggy Perch is? lol
Piggy Perch=2009 Team of the Year and boat mechanic.
Boat Mechanic? I wasn't around in 09 so I'll have to get the rest of that story. I need to call Greg anyway to let him know that I need to use him as part of my interview process....

I thought you were looking for someone to catch fish. If you get someone to do all of that, what are you going to do and who will be doing the catching???? Just got to give ya a hard time. Looking forward to the new year.

Hey! That's no way for a 6th place finisher to talk to a team that missed 3rd place by only 10 points! Go on back to massage school - I mean "Team Shearwater" and start working on a new game plan. Don't worry about me catching fish. I got a good feeling about this next year. Jawbreaker is going to catch some better fish this next season.

Don't blame me if your boat don't start at any of the 2012 TSA Tournaments or your baits keeps dying before each tournament.

Ya, I got a little fix for that with this next season. Just too bad that it adds a little extra weight to the boat
I've got 4 more fully charged just in case lol. In fact, if they sabotage your boat we will have a back up - (they dont know where I live). Wow, I didn't know I was signing up for full on gorilla warfare lol, but sounds like fun. Oh, and my bait tank is protected by armed guards - so no worries there lol - good stuff
You'll enjoy it! We did the last three, this year and cant wait till February. Watch out for Brandon though, he'll borrow a couple DD22's and will beat you with em.

Capt John, Unfortunately, there are some issues regarding lake levels in which we may have to do some rescheduling. The venues for some of the Tournaments are yet to be determined. As soon as the venue is set for Canyon Lake, I will be posting the announcement. Any suggestions or thoughts are welcome. Feel free to call or message me. Im looking forward to another fun season!!
Thanks,
Alan

Hey Guys!! MrG and I went on a recon trip this weekend. As expected this lake is low too. Only a few ramps left in the water. Plans will be posted as soon as I can solify the details. I hope to get the announcement out soon.

Good to see you are paying attention No Sweat !! Actually, Texoma is a lake that is certainly on my mind in regard to the lake levels this year. There could certainly be some changes in the schedule this year and we could wind up there at some point.

Our president is staying in contact with the Corps and Comal County. We have a lodge looking forward to hosting the tournament and another not far away that can accommodate teams. There are ramps at both. On 1-15-12 both were open. The county closed the ramp at the host lodge early last week.
I hope this weather system or another in the next few weeks will raise the level enough and there'll be no problems. It may be a last minute deal but I don't think accommodations will be a problem.

I haven't heard much from Mr Wood. I hope he can make it. I think my wife wants him to sign the picture they took together at Sharc's house. It's bound to be worth some money one day
All right Guys, Just relax we still have 24 days until the first tourney. Due to water levels, I have delayed the announcement a little bit. It will be coming within a week.
Thanks,
Alan
