USGS shows lake to be 4' low but looks much worse than that to me. Anybody know how low it is or is the 4'correct?

I know of some guys that have hit stuff between Hyjackers and the Jack Hudson blue sign in the boat lane.

No, its right at around 4- 4.5 ft low. All my 10+ ft spots are bout +- 6 ft. I think the banks are so gradual and dont drop off in most spots make it look bad.

Alley creek (be careful), johnsons creek is safe, overlook is safe, tejas is tricky (fall off the ramp, take it slow), hurricane looks safe, think cedar springs is good but once you get in boat lane there's obstacles.

Where is overlook?? Can you give me any general information about patterns? I haven't been to the lake in 3 years, and that was in the spring.

Just east of the dam on hwy 726. As you get off the dam, it will be the first left if you are headed east (or towards Jefferson). Cant miss it

I drove across the 155 bridge today & it occurred to me that I could probably get across the lake faster & safer in a big 4x4 truck than in my boat.

Best advice anyone can give someone that's never been on the lake is to stay south unless you want an insurance claim. There's a LOT of tournaments the next 3 weeks up there so info will be limited.

Everyone is saying if you don't know the lake well, then stay SOUTH. What would be the line between NORTH and SOUTH.. e.g. on Rayburn staying south would mean from the dam to Veach... 1) On LOP staying south would be from the dam to ______________ .

I would say Alley Creek From the Dam to Alley Creek is South. Past Alley Creek is a run to the Poled boat Lane and from there it isn't bad until you get to the water intake at Oak Valley or something like that.
