Where does the water come from that is pumped into Fayette County lake and Lake Bastrop? I don't see any major rivers close by.

Constant level lakes usually have a lake above them to pull water from. If there isn't a lake above them; then they are on irrigation wells.

The pumps are down at Bastrop. Can't begin to refill the lake from the water taken during the fire until the pumps are fixed.

Heard they had to order parts from Korea and will be another month or so before they can raise the lake again.

Also, they are getting buckets of water for the new Bastrop fire of yesterday.

Disclaimer: Info is from LCRA park attendants.

This is whats wrong with this country. The parts have to be ordered from Korea and not America.
