Cross Trail Outfitters coming to the DFW area soon (Terrell specifically). *Check out www.crosstrail.org.* Cross Trail Outfitters is a locally-based Christian youth hunting and fishing club. We're passing along the great American outdoor heritage while teaching lessons about life, maturity and faith. For boys ages 7-20, we offer year-round hunting, fishing, skills training, community service, fellowship and more. Currently we are in preseason building a foundation of support (L.I.F.E Labor Influence Funding Expertise). More to come please visit the website and watch the videos. There are way too many young men in our area that are lost. Being outside, in the woods, on the water hunting and fishing is absolutely foriegn to them. And most importantly they do not have a personal and meaningful realationship with Jesus Christ.

Sounds like a great organization. There's a guy here in the Metromess on the forum that goes by basswax. He's trying to be a mentor for kids without fathers. You guys should hook-up. Pun intended.

JD, Yes, I am the DFW-East Unit outfitter. I am so excited, humbled and blessed that God has made my calling so clear and available to me. It is an awesome ministry and mentorship for lost boys. Right now we are getting our feet under us and getting roots established. It will be awhile before any outings can happen but please spread the word for prayer and support of this ministry! It is and will transform lives. Right now this country needs that and it can be done one discipled young man at a time.

So I can put you down for a Boat donation! LOL! Everyone here on TFF is awesome and I truly feel blessed to already have the support of some of you on this calling and ministry.

If anyone is interested in being part ofthis please drop me a PM. This is a self-funded and supported ministry and we need pretty much everthing you can think of right now. The only thing in place is me(outfitter), prayer team, administrative assistant(my wife) and thats about it. Right now we are looking for support from land-owners, fishing guides,donors of equipment, time , money etc. etc. The roots of this fruitful tree need to be well established. Thanks!

We will hopefully be having a CTO DFW-East vision meeting within the next few weeks. I will let everyone know when and where. It will most likely be in Terrell, TX. Might even have some food(hint). We will see what shakes out in the next week or two. We would love to see all you guides,outfitters, business owners and everyone that sees the need for boys and young men in area to have real men as mentors!

There are a lot of issues raised on this forum (i.e. disrespectful boaters,anglers etc). Many of which could be alleviated with helping the boys of this generation grow up to be honorable, respectful, real Godly men. Wouldn't that be awesome to see the next generation of men turn this country around?

Things are rolling and I am so humbled, grateful and encouraged by the generous nature of many people. This is a worthy cause and there is a huge need for it. Check it out and see if you agree.

Looks like we are one step closer to having a venue for our vision meeting in Terrell. We will hopefully be having food, good converstion and sharing what CTO is all about.
