Nick, let's plan some events around Houston. Although we dont have venues that rival those in Austin or DFW, we can still get together for fish-ins.

This looks great and thanks for putting it together. However, the distance is going to be an issue for me as well - there is no way I could make all of those events (but I'll try to make a few).

I'd like to suggest a second event, similar to what txfishes does, that would track the weight of carp based on submissions throughout the state. Obviously the honor system would be in play here, but it may be cool to have a "scoreboard" for statewide catches. Maybe a picture of each fish must be submitted to validate or something along those lines?

Looks like I might be relocating the first session at Emma long park. I scouted the whole lake the other day and the weed line is horrible. Unless you are landing the fish from a boat or kayak it isn't worth it. Prolly gonna move it to Decker or possibly the Brazos in Waco
