The chicken also tastes like it was fried in old oil.

I want their green beans recipe. My aunt Jewel used to make them exactly like that but I didn't ever learn how she did it.

Never had an old tasting oil flavor. The one in Sanger has catfish.

One of the worst chicken fried steaks I've ever had, and I was expecting alot since I've always heard nothing but great things about their cds. My opinion.....way too thin, little to no seasoning, and tasted to me like one of those are chicken fried soy patties.

Hey Kattelyn, You can get real close to thier green bean recipe by using 1 can of cut italian green beans, dump in microwavalble bowl then add about 3-5 dashes of liquid hickory smoke and about 1/2 teaspoon of sugar .Then warm them. Try them i think you will like them

She was Jewel Morgan... lived near Ninnekah, Oklahoma. Born 1909. She was my mama's brother's wife. They had a bunch of sheep and cows and goats and a couple working border collies that were the smartest I've ever seen. He could tell Emmy "Go bring the milkers" and that dog would go get the milking goats and bring them to the pen.

My great aunt Jewel was born in 1908, and I never knew, only recently found out, that she was a WAC in WWII. She was a younger sister of my Grampa, 14 of them there were. I have one great-aunt still, Verna Lee, in Clifton. My Mom's aunt and only 6 years older than my mom would be.. LOL Good old Norwegian genes!

only one I have ever been to was Roanoke. No complaints other than I needed someone to help me into my truck I ate so much. Their biscuits with that molasses stuff was incredible.
Between the table we all go to share the chicken and the cfs, all good stuff

Way too loud for my preferences, but I love their smoked chicken. Still feel ripped off about the price for a chiken dinner, but I'm not a big eater and all you can eat is generally wasted on me.I go to the Burleson one.

Went there yesterday. Didn't like the mashed potatoes or desserts. Chicken, catfish and biscuits were really good. Green beans and salad were OK but would not go back for me if I was paying. I like the look of it. We went to Arlington. Now I can say "Been there, done that"........

some of the best fried chicken you can eat. However, their pot roast was average, their catfish was expensive, overpriced and only decent. From the sounds of it i won't be trying the CFS soon. Their sides seem canned, but i do love their GB's. That bowl of lettuce with oil.....err salad looks nasty (i don't eat salad, but my campanions rated it very subpar). All in all chicken and biscuits are great, but so are Popeyes' and it is a lot cheaper
