Went up to Rhodes with my daughter this evening. It was her first float tube trip, and she loved it! The lake is getting very, very low. Fish were very active, but I spent my time helping her get the hang of things. I brought her some nightcrawlers, and she caught 6 bream and 1 nice cat in about an hour.

And she wanted to stay after dark! She is braver than some of the guys I fish with...Names being witheld.

Great pics, I am sure she will remember that for a long time.

Glad to see she had a good time.

Sorry I could not make it. With Gena working 7 days a week, things have been a little crazy.

Not this Saturday but maybe the next (10/8), I can meet you out there. I have got to get that kayak slimed before it gets too cold.

Is it low enough to find that flipper I lost???

LOL--that's my ooooold Togiak. Notice the road rash on the pockets--it blew out of the back of my truck on one trip. Still alive and (mostly) holding air, though! grin

My first tube was a Togiak. I went out one day to get it and the nylon had disentegrated on one side. It was a sad day. crying

Its still low! Ugh all the others are full and after this rain its the only one that is STILL LOW! It makes me mad. You can still walk on the dam and those weeds by the ramp are about ten feet from the waters edge.

Nope I haven't been this year, but we should be thinking about having that BBQ pretty soon.
