I'll be out there also. I have heard channel cats are good in shollow water. Or go in deep water by the dam for blues. I'm launching at Holiday because it's close to the dam. Still have to go slow outta there and watch for sand bars. I havent been in about 7 months so I'm sure it's way lower than Ive ever saw it.

Focus on 22 to 34' of water for blues. Be very careful the lake is about 6 1/2 feet low and there are stumps in normal running places on the lake, also many of the long points and humps are barely under water. The ramps on each side of the 2 mile bridge are usable as is the 751 ramp, Holiday marina, and the state park. Just take it slow and be very careful and you will be fine.

Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach

Lucky? At Tawakoni the catfish fight over your bait. The only thing that slows them down is colder water temperature.

Can you tell me where you got that map? Very informative. Are there ones for other lakes? Thanks.
