Got some #30 H2O line from a friend and haven't had the nerve to put it on. W hat is your opinion on this product?

I suspect it is an (off) brand of Sufix? I bought a couple of reels recently and Academy spooled some 10 lb H2O to them. I noticed the 10 lb didn't have much memory. Suspecting it might be Superior I noticed that the line diameters are identical to the Superior. I think it's Superior or maybe a step down it casts nicely using 10lb and 15lb. Sufix, before they started marketing their own line made lines for other brands and Sporting Good stores. I think it's a pretty decent line for the money. If you walk in to an Academy they sure do carry alot of Sufix? I asked the guy from Academy and he said, that they get a Contract to get the line made. So it just might be?

Had 12# spooled at the store, snap on a sub-2# bass when it "flopped" while I was holding the line about 2ft above the fish (was wade-fishing). Was first time out with it, just a few casts in, no abrasion, and wasn't snapped at the knot. It snapped again a few casts later using a 5/8oz crankbait... It was removed immediately after that trip. This was "last-years" model line though, and they've been clearing it out and new packaging is different so if you have the "new" stuff, it may be better, that's just my only experience so take it for what it's worth.

I used to use it, and it would break every once in a while...but overall, it was pretty good for me. that being said, like BanD said, use big game. I have been using it for about a year now, and havent had one single issue, while my partner snaps on a cast almost every time out. i think hes been using Pline.

I had a reel I purchased from academy spooled up with some and it had memory like flouro. I dunno if it was a bad spool or what, but I switched over to trilene XL after fighting backlashes and have had no problems since.

Havent tried the mono, but tried the H20 Flourocarbon.
Dont have any complaints about the flouro.

If you use mono, go with Berkley Big Games. They've been very known among all anglers. FYI, I see someone on Craigslist is selling some big spool of those Big Games for pretty cheap price.
