Just bought a used boat that has this unit on it.

It seems to work fine but I am unable to get it give the "arch" symbol for fish. I am also having trouble getting it dialed in just right to be able to show stumps or other structure sticking up from the bottom. Right now it just gives that goofy "fish" symbol for everything.

I have downloaded the owners manual and have read through that.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be mucho appreciated.

I had a 3D Wide Paramount several years back. If you are expecting to see arches in the 3D mode I don't think it is possible. You should be able to get something other than the fish symbol in the 2D mode. However, resolution on those old units was so poor I don't think you would recognize it as an arch. I think that unit had 128 X 128 pixels. I think the Paramount had 320 X 240 pixels and was the top of the HB line at that time. I never saw an acceptable arch with it. In my opinion 3D is a joke. The Paramount was supposed to have 6 transducers in one but I never got a true picture of the bottom in 3D mode. It tended to flatten the bottom and never presented the true character. That unit soured me on HB.

I have 3 LCR units and cant get anything on them.
