They said 153 people entered the tournamnet. We found the fishing really tough, although I hadn't been on the lake in a couple of years. We found grass and tons of baitfish, but couldn't dial into anything to make the fish to bite.

Great event Gordon and the crew put on a great show, The only thing that I would change is if they wanted to sell some shades they should have had some out, the guy I was with wanted to buy some but there was not a booth set up to sell that we saw. My friend did spend a few bucks at the Army Bass booth so I guess it worked out. We will be back next year, thanks guy's job well done.

Maybee they should change the way they advertise they are having a big bass tourney on rayburn. If I had not seen alittle chatter on this site about it, I would have never even known it happened! No wonder they only had 150 somethin boats, by the way what did he win? Sunglasses?

by the way what did he win? Sunglasses? Uuummmm....More like $10,500. Congrats to Rusty Boone. If it weren't for guide restrictions, I'd have been on that like white on rice. Everybody jumps up and down about McDonalds, and it's certainly a great event, but come on folks, it's the smaller ones like this and the Tracy Byrd where you have better chances. 153-1 odds for 10K. I'll take that anyday. Tracy Byrd '07. Net job earned me 18.5K BTW, It was in the Lakecaster Mag, Online, and flyers were in all the tackle stores around the area. Edit: Listed Grand Prize was 10K. If he also included the truck, good on them.

Just as a side note we don't do any retail sales at these events. The Rolling O Lab is there for education and hospitality only.

If I had not seen alittle chatter on this site about it, I would have never even known it happened! No wonder they only had 150 somethin boats, by the way what did he win? Sunglasses? Kingchamp, Our advertising for this event included the following: 30 days of radio ads with Kicks 105. 2 months of full page ads in the Lakecaster. Direct mail to 3000 anglers around East Texas. Web ads on Kicks 105 and Lakecaster online. Add to that press releases, forum posts on 5 different sites. Press releases to the Fishing Wire, Wired2Fish, Anglers Channel, Lakecaster and Lufkin News. Not to mention its been on our tour schedule for the entire year. If you missed this event I assure you it wasnt from lack of marketing effort on our end. Hope you'll join us next year.

The hourly winners are posted on our website in the results section. Look for TroKar Leaderboard.
