I'll be camping at W.Lofers Bend next Sunday and since there is a grilling ban (at least I think there is, if there's not there should be) I'm gonna buy some ribs and brisket to bring into camp. Anybody know of any good barbecue close by?

Hooten and Hollern is on Hwy 22 where FM 933 and TX 22 intersect. I'm not sure if it's any good, but it's been around longer than Mutt's.

In Clifton, about 15 miles away, there is a place called Bunkhouse BBQ. It's on TX-6. They have good smoked turkey...the brisket is sometimes a bit dry for my tastes; I'm not sure about the ribs.

Now, if you do make the drive to Clifton, there's a restaurant called Johnny's Place. It too is on HWY 6, just north of Bunkhouse BBQ. They have a great buffet.

Tres Hermanos is good for Mexican food, but I can't remember if they are open on Sunday. I know they are not open on Monday.
