I'm running twin Talons and love them. One thing I like is the speed to anchor, ease to deploy just hit the down button twice and go back to fishing or landing that catch. One really nice feature is the ease to remove if you are not going to use or want to move to another boat. I have my Skeeter Bass Boat and a Jon Boat and have brackets on each. It only takes a couple minutes and I can have the Talons off and on my other boat...Going to love my Talons come this duck season.

I run Power Poles and like them because when out on the water if they are in the way like a buddy on the back of the boat sayin they are in the way or you need to get under a low bridge you just let them down and problem solved Talon you cannot do this they are there yes they can be removed and put on other boats or just taken off but on the water they are there. Just my .02

How many people are casting over the motor? I just fished a Pro-Am Event and never once had a complaint and we fished under some really low bridges and never had a problem getting in. You can always adjust the height but I think that problem will be solved soon.

Interesting thing was how many boats floated away at weight in that didn't have Talons. I think the Talon with it's 3 drives of setting the anchor was the reason they held the boats in place plus the dump valve that releases pressure for drive off protection on the others allowed the other boats to float away... Never seen a boat with a Talon floating away. Stayed in place.

I have one Talon on my 18' boat and love it. Put it in rough water mode and you'll stick in place. Having the remote hanging on a lanyard around your neck makes it really convenient.

Wish they made one that went down 20'...

Good luck.

They have a Deep Water Anchor...it's called the MinnKota iPilot with Spot Lock Feature!

Can't speak for Talon's, but I like my Power Pole. And, will get another on my next boat.
