November 6, 2011: Early Bird - Two couple team "draw" tournament on Lake Palestine. We will launch from the Lake Palestine Resort at safe light. Due to low water levels, you can trailer to any ramp you are comfortable launching from. Lake Palestine Resort is scheduled to repair/extend it's ramp this week.
Also......The Villages ramp is in good shape. Just need to be careful getting into the main lake entrance area.

Careful on Pines. Current lake level is 225.03. Just bought a new 21I and buzzed a rock at about 60 MPH. Hit this in the FAR reaches of the mouth of Alley creek. Actually it could still be considered Big Lake where its located. Complete new lower unit!!! Good ol insurance..... Been on that lake 20 years and never knew about that rock. I actually fish the outter rock piles of Alley. Some rocks are marked in the area but please be careful.

we are going to try to make one, it was great meeting ya'll great folks had a blast at championship, anyone wanting to fish a couples trail you wont find a better trail in the east!!!!

Thanks for the rock warning and the kind words! Lets all pray for a lot of rain the next few months to raise these low lake levels.

I hope all the tournament fishermen and fisherwomen will be patient with all the tournament directors in 2012. With the water levels low and getting even lower, it's going to be a challenge for them to find lakes with enough water to hold tournaments. We are all going to have to work together and understand that schedules are going to have to be modified.

SAFETY should be the #1 factor in which lakes are fished. There isn't a bass out there worth getting someone hurt over!

A...........heck, I've been camping!



Stayed a week on DeGray Lake in Arkansas. They are hurting for water up there just like we are here in Texas! Sure was nice and peaceful camping in the state park though.

Our Early Bird Tournament on Lake Palestine is coming up in a couple of weeks. Give me a call if you are interested in joining us this year. I will be heading down there next week to see if we have enough water to fish in.
