As some of you know,my tournament partner and I went to Falcon Friday aug 19 through Monday aug 22. We stayed at Lakeview and in my opinion I was very pleased with it. We stayed in room 106. You can back your boat right up to your door and plug charger in. The rooms and beds were clean and the tv was nice to wind down after a day of fighting those overly aggressive falcon fish. I included a couple of pictures of our room for anyone wondering. Now the fishing. We fished friday afternoon in the veleno(sp?) And it was tough. Our best 5 went 21 pounds with maybe 25 total fish. Saturday we decided to go fish tigers and man what a decision we made. We found some very active schools on a couple different spots and caught over 100 fish with half being between 4-6 pounds. Best 5 went 33 pounds. Sunday we decided to go back to tigers to try get on a bigger fish. We didn't catch as many, maybe 75, but best 5 went a whopping 46 pounds. We caught one 7, three between 8-9, a 9.5 and the 11.1 kicker. The 11 came off the dam though not tigers. As far as patterns, the same stuff is still working. The squarebill will get your arm ripped off and catch big fish. I caught a 9.5 on Sunday on a kvd 1.5. Flipping the brush on points next to deep water is a great way to catch numbers. Have to thank Barret for the tip on looking for deep water, thanks bro. Above all over half of our big fish were caught on a dd22 in tilapia color. Baits we flipped were 7" yum dingers, the mag fluke, and a brush hog. Green pumpkin red was best color, dye tail chartreuse. We did find one drain, creek channel that we caught 3/4 of our deep crank fish in. They were stacked on isolated bushes in bottom of it in 16 foot of water. Here are some pictures. Hope it works like this. http://s1215.photobucket.com/albums/cc507/chancehuiet05/falcon%20lake%202011/

Good trip! Curious, what line do you use out there for your shallow and deep cranks?
I tend to use 12 fluoro on smaller cranks and 15 on the deep.
