Wanted to put a plug in for a friend of mine that is making some great custom plastic baits. These are available on the shelf at Jerrys Elm Creek Village at Ivie as well as Field and Streams sporting goods in San Angelo. You can also order custom orders direct from Bill. His handle on here is Capt Grumpy. Bill is one of the good guys out here in West Texas.

He has a ringed worm mold that has a larger core than other brands so the baits hold up better and dont break casting out. He can custom pour different colors and in some bulk quantities.

He also makes me some 5 and 6" senko style baits with no salt that I use quite a bit. I know he has several other molds and maybe even some new ones I dont know about.

I have used these baits quite a bit and have no complaints. They have accounted for several of our giant fish here on Ivie.

Bill doesnt have any fancy packaging or outrageous claims from field staff members but doesn have some quality baits!

Need to look into that, I like the inner core being bigger. Are they as slimy and smelly as original grandebass?

His senkos are the real deal. I grabbed a big bag when we were down there in May because we ran out of regulars. They don't have any salt in them but behind a little split shot they hammer Ivie fish.

I like them better without salt on a TX rig.

Ronnie most of my molds are injection not sure if you can do swirls with injection mold. I know you can do it with a top pour mold the only mold I have like that is a 5.25 senko. I may play with it when I get some time.

I have almost the same mold. You won't get a swirl out of it. You can do a two color shoot getting a top and bottom color like my Grasshopper color.

+ 1 on Grumpy's baits.I have been using them since he started and they are first rate.Bill is one of the good guys out here.He even cathes a fish every now and then.

I have fished with Bill a lot in the last 2 years. I am very impressed with the baits he pours. He can do just about any color you need. The Grumpy Cat's as I call them are the best fish catching bait we have used. I can't wait to get to Mexico with them. He now has the 7" Grumpy O's (sinko). I look forward to using the 50 count bag I just ordered at Amistad. I love the salt, garlic and small green flake in a real light watermelon seed.

+1 on Grumpy's Baits. I love the Mudbug as I call them. It's the crazy leg chigger craw bait. I have been killing them on it anywhere I can find rocks. I'm hooked and I hope everybody tries them out.

Those Craws are the real deal.They might look like Chigger Craws,but they have a different action.We call them Grumpy Craws.They have caught several good fish out of my boat this year and my wife placed in the money in the Oak Creek Stillwaters tourney back in the spring with these.

Bill and I are headed to Amistad at the end of the week. I will post the pictures when we get back after the S.I.T. on Sept. 17 and 18. Winning $10K on that 7" Grumpy "0" would be great.

Grumpy, once you post your colors I will be buying your bulk bags on the ring bait!

What is the length of the Grumpy Craws?...and have u given any thought to making a smaller (mini) version?..

Hi Bill: You know I use to put several colors of older baits together in one bag and let them bleed out. It made some wild color baits that caught lots of fish. Will your colors bleed out; and can you put one of each color in a bag for me?

These are great baits. Actually had some in my hands this past weekend. Great and more solid core to the bait, which means less tears on casting. Rings are close together, which moves water better. But best of all, you can pick what scents you want. I think after talking to Bill, he had Crawfish, Garlic, and another I cant quite remember.

Thanks for the compliments guys, the scents I have are garlic,crawfish & anise, some of my baits I use have garlic & crawfish in them you dont want to leave them in your truck.
As far as core shots I have no idea how to shoot them, right now I dont do laminates either with my setup it takes way to long to do, To do them in volume you need a injection machine, my bank acc wont go for that. thanks again guys

bump for a great guy to deal with. my school just recently started up out collegiate bass team and he has been a great supporter! Got a couple bags from him and man that garlic scent is great! caught a few on the ringed worms, like em better than the grandebass due to the thicker core. Also the grumpy craws have been great on the jigs ive been throwing.

Looking forward to pulling in some good numbers (hopefully) on Amistad this weekend for our first FLW tournament this season. Thanks a lot Bill! We look forward to sending to some pictures of the bass we will be catching.

Really nice guy and very nice baits. I bought some from him at the Fun & Sun show a couple of weeks ago.

I had a chance to meet and talk with Bill a few weeks ago at the Fun-n-Sun show and will definitely be ordering some of his stuff as I was impressed with both him and his baits!!! I just have to figure out how to store them in my boat.....his garlic is STOUGHT!!!!
