Thought you guys may enjoy seeing the work of a real Pro fly tier and he's also the guy that sells the DVD to learn how to do the rope dub stuff.

Here is a 1/32 Oz. Roadrunner and the hackle you see sticking out is actually inside the rope so not put on after. I did take this under a black light to show the Flo.

Now this is a very cool jig because it tied using white Polar Bear which is naturally Flo.

Another Roadrunner with Peacock tail and I will show the same one below that I took under a black light.

Your question is "Does the flo really work under the water??" and yes is the answer. With Flo though a lot would have to do with how deep and if there is light present.

It's different under water and then add what the fish can see that we can not and a whole new thing happens. If you actually want something that shows up much farther than regular colors (a fish can see) use UV as it will penetrate the water like over 17 times farther.

Flo colors will glow to the fish since they see what we can not. I can't type all the info I have about this here, but it can and does make a difference.

So both can be very important to what the fish see and also what we catch.

Busboy you wouldn't need to have the black light on under water unless it's for you to see them. fish can see what we can not because they can see UV colors and the sun put off UV light. So UV and Fluorescent colors that we can not see unless it's under a black light, fish can see with out that aid.
