Great looking boat. That tri-hull design makes it really stable I bet.
You and your kid(s) will enjoy it. You can have as much fun if not more in a $500 boat as in a $50,000 boat. And catch just as many fish!
We do have to be a little more careful about weather, where we go, safety in general... but its still great fun! Welcome to the club!

If you want to add a couple of comfortable seats to that rig run a 2x8 down the middle and add yourself a swivel seat in the back and one in the front. I saw a boat exactly like yours and this is what the owner did to his.

Alright, I was cleaning out some old PM's and posts and came accross one from this thread mentioning a bass hunter tournament and fish fry/bbq at Clear Lake. Anybody still interested? I hope I didn't miss it.

My wife said I could get me a new trolling motor for my basshunter.
I am thinking about a Minn Kota Endura C2 with 30# thrust.
That is what I have. The shaft is absolutely indestructable however I did just get it out of the repair shop for a burned up speed control switch. The thing actually caught fire. It cost me $65 to fix it. 2 years old. It does scoot the buster right along on 5 though.

We have not done the clear lake deal. We did have one day this summer where we had 5 boats and 8 guys out on a local pond.
I cant recall who had big fish that day....Wait, it was me ha ha.

Found this reading the internet today: Paul Duclos caught a disputed world record 24 pound bass while fishing in an 8 foot plastic boat. There's a pic of his boat in this article. Are you Ready for Fishing outside the box
