Anyone here ever set up the live well on the Pelican boats (predator 103) I have seen floating live wells that you can pull along your boat. Might be an option...However with water temps as high as they are now, that would be very dangerous for the fish. I would only do that and expect the fish to live if the surface temps are in the mid 70's or lower.

I called Pelican and they sent me some old literature... They used to sell a kit with these! I think I have part of the kit it's just the pump... The Livewell on the boat has "plumbing" that goes to the transome, and I wasn't sure if this was used to fill and keep the water fresh, or just a drain hole. I'd like it to pump from the drain hole to keep the water fresh, but this might be more trouble than it's worth? Anyone done this???

Anybody been able to fit their Buster in a smaller truck? My Sierra is in the body shop getting hail damage repaired this week and they gave me a Chevy Colorado as a loaner. I have a feeling that the bite will be on this weekend. Please chime up if you hve a way of fitting it without destroying the paint.

I have a place on the inside of the bed on my s-10 that you can set 2x4's on. The basshunter sits on top of the two boards.

My Pelican Bass Raider fits snuggly between fender wells of my Ford Ranger, even with a bedliner. I doubt the plastic will hurt the paint. Maybe use use cardboard or a towel at the rub points if you think you need it.

OK, I am making a proposal. I was online looking for a new fishing hole to take the wife this weekend. Since this is a Bass Hunter thread can we also post a little info on some community/area lakes or ponds where it is safe and legal to launch them? We obviously know that the big bodies of water are available and may or may not be safe so lets hear some others.
I'm certainly not asking anyone to divulge any secret spots or info like that but only for some fun new places to fish.

Hey onthebank I like the idea. However start another thread, this one needs to get a rest. Way to many topics forced into this one thread that should have been seperate topics.

I moved my depth finder to the top of my trolling motor tonight. I took off the top cover and drilled some hole in it for my bracket. I rerouted all my wires and got rid of the base it sat on.
It should work out better now, I can just grab the TM and the foot operated on/off switch and put it in the truck as one unit.
I will take a pic tomorrow and show you what I did.
(I saw this on Timmha's boat so I owe him props on the idea.)

Hey FFM lets see a pic of what you all did to that thing. Since I screwed around so much last week it might be a few weeks before I get to fish again.

Anyone intrested in a nice trailer that can be used for buster style boats, and also can double as a light use trailer?
it is a converted Jon boat trailer but will carry 10 ft pond prowler eaasily. Just don't need it anymore. Lights work, good tires and spare. PM me if so.

I talked to the guy who was going to make the brackets for the wheels, he told me 20 bucks a set and I ordered 4 sets. They are going to be made of 1/4" steel so there will be no bending problems when loaded.
In two weeks we will have them in hand.
