No there is no such thing as a good one!!!! Just some not as worse as others. I have the mister twister saltwater grade and it does pretty good. Make sure your blades are kept sharp.

+1 on the saltwater mr twister from about 4 yrs ago. recommended it to 2 other buddies in the last year and the ones they got were not nearly as well built, one broke within 3 uses.

I have had an American Angler for a year or so. When I do a limit of sandies, it seems to struggle. (Maybe it's just I am getting tired. I like the shape of the blades because they come to a point at the end. Last time out, I switched to a Mister Twister during the cleaning. It seemed to cut fairly well, but the blades have a blunt end and the serrations stop about an inch before. I'm sure this post is of no use to anyone except me...

American Angler is THE BOMB.
I've had the Pirahna, Rapala, you name it.... American Angler, that Wal Mart used to carry, is superior to everything I've seen.

I have the "freshwater" version of mister twister (green and yellow) and it has worked for 2 yrs now. Getting a little dull so I need to replace the blades. Other than that, its been pretty good for me so far.

I have the saltwater pirahana and its trash. I have the salwater American Angler. And it is a beast. Someone posted above it struggles cleaning a limit. Either you blade is dull or gunked up. My american angler cleans multiple limits each trip and runs off a inverter to boot LOL!

I havent found one that is what I would consider "good". We use the American Angler but even they seem to wear out too fast. I wish someone would make one that would last for those of us that use them everyday. Its frustrating replacing them every 2-4 months.

I trashed mine and pulled out the dexter russel I used to use on the coast. Get a manual knife with a thick backbone and you can bust through the bellies easily buy a cheap sharpener and run it through about 4 times every 4 fish or so.

I to have used them all. The old black American Angler were the best but not so any more. I just buy the $10 B&D at Walmart get two at a time and just trash them as they burn up.
