We have been hitting some good trout on topwaters in West Galveston bay near San Luis Pass, up to 23" when the tide moves, in or out. Wading is the only way to go now that it's so hot.

Welcome to the forum. I met a guy at the boat launch who was having luck up that way. He had just bought bought a shack up Tidlem-Tadum.

I usually launch at the chocolate bayou bridge on fm2004, although it is way too small, and gets very crowded on weekends. Horseshoe landing marina/bar/cafe in Amsterdam is like $5 or so and is never crowded, but it's a few miles from the bridge, if I am going wading.
