I don't use a leader for braid myself, but if you want to tie a leader on check out this video from Justin Rackley, He explains pretty well his method of using a leader with braid.
God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know when to go fishing.

Uni-knot, my son is doing this on his spinning rigs. Less problems with the line and cheaper. Fluorocarbon doesn't act right on a spinning rig. Just bought some of the new Berkley Nanofil line. Interested to see how it preforms. It is a whole new technology.

That Rackley video is nice. He is absolutely right about the knot position on your rod. You want your leader to be long enough that the splice knot sits somewhere around the middle or lower third of your rod. 4 feet seems to be the sweet spot for me, and it casts like butter. I wrote an article on my website last year about line and knot techniques. While it is slightly specific to the kayak angler, it still has some good universal information, including video knot tutorials for the uni to uni splice knot. You can read the article by clicking here.
