Not kidding at all. I think Rudy's is very good, if a bit expensive. Ever tried their breakfast burritos? Muy excellente!

Rudy's is a solid offering for a chain BBQ restaurant. (not good enough to eat at however)

Make friends with Stax08 here on the forum. The man is the master at smoking meat (not that there's anything wrong with that). I witnessed Mark Pack talk to himself while eating Stax08's 2 day old wings and tenderloin on our last trip.

The best bbq I've found in the Fort Worth area is "Off the Bone" at 5144 Mansfield Hwy in Forest Hill.

I won't say the "best in Fort Worth" because I have not been to every bbq place in Fort Worth, but based on my experience, it is the best tasting bbq. An added plus is "super friendly people".

Try it out! See for yourself.

Spring Creek comes in a close second.

Spring Creek has excellent ribs, and the hot rolls are also a nice touch. Rudy's and Sonny Bryan's have excellent brisket. The only really disappointing BBQ I remember having recently was at Angelo's in Fort Worth, which may have been the go-to BBQ joint back in The Day, but The Day has long since passed for them.

I actually agree with you on Angelo's

BUT Excellent and Spring Creek/Rudy's/Sonny Bryan's just don't go together...more like acceptable or decent.

I dunno if it is still there, but check out this place in haslet. Called Lee's BBQ. It is AWESOME. At least it was when I used to live there...
