Hey guys!

Just wondering if anyone else in the palestine area ever fishes the city lake wolf creek. I've been fishing there for over a year and never have much luck catching LMB. Catch some small cats, but none of them keepers. Just wanting to know if anyone is catching anything in that place!

Years ago, 25 or so it has some fish in it. It and lower water work were the best of the 4 city lakes at that time

I've fished that one as well,but only from the bank. Not much luck there either. Haven't dropped my boat in there though. Looking for good places near palestine. I have a 14 foot johnboat with a 5hp motor.

If you have a trolling motor early morning runs from rocky point on the neches could be pretty good in the summer. Get there early head up the river, throw a little yellow and black spinner bait at everything, they used to work over a chuck Ike pretty good to on the neches. You could also put in below rocky and work down to the rusk bridge. If you can still get through there. You need someone to drop you off and pick you up. Start early on that run it's an all day deal.

By the way if you can still get through the I highly recommend that river run in the fall it's outstanding even if you don't catch alot

Fished Wolf Creek numerous times and only caught a small cat. Good place to chillax and watch the plans though. Like whasaweighin recommended. Head out to Rocky Point, caught really nice fish there. Really nice Strippers there, and cats.
