I found so many great posts for the Water Wagon, Foam Boats that I had to try to do one for myself. I got the foam from a mfg in Midlothian and then went to work. After several ideas, I settled on what you see below. I used foam to wood adhesive to glue the plywood to the seat area. This is for attaching a cushion and seat-back. I also glued wood blocks as mounting bases for my homemade rod holders. Forget Scotty, I made these bad boys for about $5 each! One for a baitcaster and one for a fly rod.

Blocks for eye-bolts in the rear to secure a crate with bungee cord and a block on the front for a rope cleat to secure an anchor. The PVC bar is for a foot rest and attached to it is a roller to thread the anchor rope for easy anchor handling.

And for the ultimate redneck accoutrement, gun slings attached to hinges screwed in the wood seat base for use as shoulder straps to carry the whole thing on my back!

Her maiden voyage (since being finished) is set for tomorrow when a buddy and I go pond hopping.

Dude, no can holders? You could have turned that thing into the worlds largest Beer Koozie! Not that I endorse that sort of thing smile

Can holders... yes, I plan to add those and maybe a larger cut-out for some tackle trays. I imagine I'll keep finding ways tweak it until I get to the point I need a trailer to carry it all!

The dimensions are: 65" long, 49" wide and 12" thick. The cut-out for the legs are 24" by 24".

I coated with an elastomeric roof paint that I got from lowes. It cures like a nice thick, flexible skin. It comes in white, but I had them tint it a light tan.

No Sir. It is all EPS foam. The wood used for mounting bases are just cut pieces of 1" X 4" board and playwood for the seat area. I glued them to the foam using a foam to wood adhesive found at Lowes. Stuff cures like concrete. If the wood comes off, it's taking have the foam boat with it!

I did recess the mounting blocks to mitigate the chances of them being knocked or caught on stuff.

That is sweet, I made some similar but without the wood. What was the name of the glue you used for plywood to foam?
