It's the very best way to treat yeast bread, in my opinion, except maybe, with butter just out of the oven. I called it pan toast when I was growing up, except we didn't have light-bread, except on the holidays. The old fashion hamburgers had the buns warmed on the greasy grill. I never even get my toaster out and put it on the counter, till my tomatoes come in. Then it's just a convenience. I'd really rather toast my bread in bacon grease. How many ways?

Yes, the best way to toast a bun is in the fat from the burgers cooking. Not the whole pan of grease but a nice coating anyway.

I like to grill the burgers and add some bacon. Toast your buns in the bacon fat..MMMM..bacon makes everything better.

As long as you don't eat this stuff everyday you will be okay.
