caught this guy around 10 and a half in the mornin. not bad considering the size of the pond. i didnt get to measure him but he seems like hes a couples lbs. and maybe 18 inches long. caught him on a small a$$ crank bait.

Nice fish. Where is this pond if you don't mind me asking? I've been trying to find a place a little closer to home to catch some bass.

thanks guys!! its a pond right off robertson rd. between warrior and arkansas. if u guys google map it and follow the road, it will be to the left side of robertson. i dont think many people fish there.. and its kinda small, but u know its always fun to catch and release. theres lots of brim in there too, they keep pull off my wacky worm haha thats why i ended up switchin to a crank bait. Good luck!

Sorry to hijack, but anybody fish that pond off 360 by Riverside golf course in GP? I live in those Apts, and have been dying to get over there. There's always something jumping, and when that area floods, it's like one big lake. Not too many folks fishing it, but it has to hold something.

Used to be some Bass and Cats in there as well as some perch, been a few years since I fished it though.

fished the pond off riverside behind the apartments about 3 weeks ago. I drive by it every day on my way to work and there are always people there. It was raining and I hooked 2 pound and a half bass with in 10 or 15 min. Throw weightless and be very quiet the fish sit up by the banks and spook really easy. Also check out the other side of the highway if you pull into the last left drive and park in the back of that warehousr you can walk down and catch a few but you need a small 2 man boat to really be productive their.

Went to the fish the pond at central park... no bueno. Only thing that was biting was perch. Saw a few dead perch bout 2 inches or so floating around.. that was kinda awkward. The place is pretty shallow, deepest is maybe 3ft. Then ended up going to the pond off of robertson and caught small bass and perch. BTW, i went sat morn and saw a guy pull out crappie (10" or so), it was very surprising to me. Well i guess i might have to try somewhere else next week.
Has anyone had any luck behind the library off of mountain creek pkwy?

I've caught a couple bass from the pond off Mountain Creek. Last time I went (about 1 Month ago) the water level was down about 6ft, the retaining wall was being fixed.

Nice catch Kingoffish, if you are doing catch and release then never lay the fish on anything dry and do not hold them with dry hands When their body touches anything dry it can remove the protective covering or slim on them .This can set up a fungus Do not keep them out of the water for any length of time,it is no different than you being under waqter and no air in your lungs you start to get stressed Saw you mentioned you were new and doing catch and release Hope this helps and you catch many more

Caught this guy jig and bobber. Hes probably bout 11-12 inches. Not bad for a small pond. This guy was 22 inches. guessing hes around 3 and a half to 4 lbs. (my PB) Caught a whole bunch of these guys i just stopped taking pictures, it was no point. i probably caught about 15 of them. All the bass were caught on this popper fly looking thing i found at bethany lakes. I love it!! if theres anyone who fishes bethany lakes and knows what the fly/popper im talkin please PM me i would like to buy some of those!!! This was between 9:30a to noon. Had a damn good time! Im still waiting for winter crappie!!

I threw a worm/rattle trap and a crankbait. The moss was really bad. I did have a little one come off at the bank on a worm. There was a guy there catching them pretty good including a 4 pounder on a topwater. Didn't have any with me of course.

Yeah that was me there today. I caught 2 over 3 lbs which was nice. All of my fish today came on topwater lures. Nice to see that there's some nice one's hiding in there along with the dinks. The two big fish came from within a foot of the moss.

yea the moss is crazy in there. u cant let it sink too much and not cast too close to the moss. if i use a jig, ill start to crank to crank it as soon as it hits the water, that way u wont really hook up some moss and more than likely the bass will strike.

I passed by Friday to test out a new rod and I believe I saw a sign saying the pond was for use of the neighborhood residents. I was parking when I saw it and never got out of the car. I'll have to go check again. I'll most likely go wednesday if it isn't raining.
