What he said. I have a 12volt 10ah sealed lead acid battery for my kayak that will run my Hook 5 for many hours. You can get by with a 7ah battery just won't power it as long.

No we sold all we had after posting it here. When an item sells out it goes away on the site and will return when back in stock.

We should have more in late this week or early next week.

Precision NMEA0183 GPS Receiver with Heading Sensor
Got a question about the GPS with heading sensor.
Are 1197 units compatible with this GPS? I tried on both 1197's I have. Neither sensed it. Hooked it to my Helix 10 and it works. Not sure what my version of software is. Maybe an update to make it work?
Thanks

I just saw that promo. It looks more like Onix than Helix. Is this supposed to be an Onix replacement?

Good Morning!

We wanted to make you aware of an upcoming software update that will dramatically improve the performance of your ONIX system(s).

Included in this free update are a number of features that will help you find more fish along with some usability enhancements to make going from screen-to-screen easier than ever.

NEW FEATURES INCLUDED IN THE PENDING SOFTWARE UPDATE INCLUDE:

• AutoChart Liveฎ with Vegetation and Bottom Hardness mapping capabilities - in addition to mapping the depths of your favorite body of water, you will now be able to chart vegetation and bottom hardness, granting you access to the trifecta of fish-holding habitat!
• iPilotฎ Link™ "Follow" Vegetation and Bottom Hardness - connect your ONIX with your applicable Minn Kotaฎ trolling motor with i-Pilot Link and follow the contour lines of your newly mapped depths, vegetation and bottom hardness
• iPilot Link BT Support
• iPilot Link Virtual Remote
• iPilot Link Circle Mode
• Humminbird CHIRP Radar Support for the new HB 2124
• Side Imaging and Down Imaging Switchfire support
• 2D sonar contrast
• Pressing and holding the "check" key now quickly changes frequency
• The encoder knob now changes sensitivity on all sonar types
• The +/- keys change range on SI unless the cursor is active in which case the user will get a SI Zoom Cursor
• Added support for multi-layer ChartSelect cards
• Added new options to Standby Mode. Options allow for all sonar to be turned off, Imaging sonar to remain on, or all sonar to remain on
• Voltage readout overlay
• Updates to UI and menus include
• New touch targets at the top of each view to assist with quicker settings changes
• New X-Press menu shortcuts to assist with quicker settings changes
• Rework of several tool locations on the Home Screen
• New Angle and Custom UI modes to help prioritize high-use menu items.
• Dramatic system-wide performance increases

Hey Guys,
I have a 1198si, when I am in map mode following an old route I put it on 200 magnification through a tricky stump area, but after a few seconds it zooms back out automatically 1000, any reason for this? is it a setting I accidentally set or a malfunction?
Thanks
