@Wilson
How are you throwing your lizard. Weightless? Texas rigged? I have pretty good luck when fishing with my lizards. I usually only throw a black one. I fish it weightless and let the slow fall presentation really trigger the bite. Like with most baits giving it a little erratic movement really gets them going.
Fish it alot like a fluke. Fish it normally parrallel with the bank and they usually will come out the weeds or reeds or whatever cover they are in to ambush it. This is how i usually fish it i have some good scuccess. Dan702 can attest to my lizard skills. Most importantly fish it slow. They really have to get annoyed by it to strike it. Leave it in the strike zone as long as you can.

@FFM, Rofl! I didn't eat him... I donated him to my canine son. He has a high requirement for good protein sources no low respect for beautiful fish... j/k
@Carlos, Texas rigged... Tried both weighted hook and weightless, but no carolina rig as of yet. The lizards I use are light and dark brown and some have black and silver flakes. I normally fish them by cover with erratic action and have even tried them out in the open, deep, etc. out of desperation. I think my issue may be that I am rushing them a lot. I will definitely have to slow my approach it seems. I usually work them fast as I assumed lizards would naturally move swift. I appreciate it, sir!
@Dan, Care to explain the trailer hook? lol

Caught this frisky guy earlier. He inhaled my worm so hard, he got gut hooked and I finally got to use my hook remover. It actually worked lke a charm. Quick/easy removal allowed him to survive another day... He'll be waiting for you, FFM... @Cody, You got a family full of anglers. Pure awesomeness, sir!

It's just the summer blues ...

I hooked up on 2 nice ones last weekend but it took me 5 hours. I still feel like they should be more active regardless of the heat. I am deploying all of my skills this weekend on a different body of water. If I'm going to wake up at 5:00 to fish for 5 or 6 hours and only get 2 then they need to be better than 3 lbs. I'm going deep on Saturday. I'll post results.....if I have any.
