I spend 6 hours today on a local denton public lake and didn't get a bite.
The water temp started at 74 degrees and made it up to 80.

Dan, don't think for a second that I am not dragging little worms over legendary off shore ledges because I am. I have missed three so far. I get lazy and when I get the bite I screw it up.
I am confident on what I am using and where I am fishing.
It's like Timmy said, the next step up to the giant fish (24"+) is a learning process.

This thing dead or what? I'm on spring break the next two weeks and was thinking about hitting the water a few times once the color clears and the weather gets a bit nicer. Anyone that wants to meet up holler.

Caught a 2.5 pound large-mouth on the big pond at south-lake. The one right next to the middle school. Last Friday at about 3:30pm right near the bank where the concrete spillway is. Used a clown colored rooster tail. Then caught a good size trout on the smaller pond about an hour later. Haven't caught anything on the big pond at north lakes and caught a little large mouth at the smaller north lakes pond about 3 weeks ago when it was freezing out.

Still no DD? That's inpsirational. I still have a chance to become the first to catch one. lol I guess I have to initiate the first step towards DD glory and that's to actually start bass fishing again. How has everyone been? Where is everyone? This thread is too legendary to fall off of the 1st page of Bank Fishing. There's more bass fishing knowledge here than the actual Bass Fishing section. Excited to see Dave and the Rodfather still around. I know DPJ is around here. Dan, Carlos, Cody? Any idea who construction has affected Bogarts? Current water level makes me want to check out LF location. Even though it's not a pond, Tower Bay may be promising now as well.
