Whataburger is a tasty burger. Double Double/w cheese animal style (it has to be animal style) is a tasty burger. I tried the Double Double animal style. It was pretty good, by fast food standards. But honestly, would have been much, much better with bacon and jalapenos. Still blown away, in a bad way, that the vaunted In-N-Out completely fails to offer either of those burger staples.

Yeah, it was a good burger by fast food standards...but no bacon or jalapenos? Pass.

the one in Rockwall is almost near completion... i may try one at some point, but I am not gonna break my neck trying to get one... hamburger is still a chitty piece of meat, imo. comparable to hotdogs.

Put one in Memphis and save me alot of driving, Whataburger that is I used to eat at a place in Memphis called Dyer's. I heard it moved to Beale, but when I went it was in an old building with the counter in the middle. Unique burger, to say the least.

Tried In N Out the other day. Wife and I drove up 121 from west of GV just to sample what everyones talking about.
Burger-(double/double) was just another burger.
Fries- had no flavor and some strange texture once you crunched into it kinda like half dried wall board mud. If you have to coat fries with that animal style stuff to make em taste good, then you don't no chit about fries. How the heck can anyone slice potatoes, fry em, and taste like carp is amazing to me. Bagged ore-ida at home right outta the wesson oil is 100% better (and no animal style needed).
I will NOT be going back, it SUCKED!!!
Whataburger much better and I don't have to pay 121 tolls!!!

the general consensus seems to be In N Out is waaay over-rated. Guess Cali's dont know what a good burger is> someone could make a fortune out there by opening up a BBQ shop!

Sorry guys, but I'm a firm believer that if you want the best burger around, learn how to season and make your own patties and place on the good ol charcoal grill (with a little mesquite wood for added flavor)!! Don't overcook and don't mash on them with the spatula (just let them cook!!).
Hmmmm, guess what I just talked myself into for dinner this evening...

Growing up my parents owned a resaurant. People came fom all over for our burgers and buttermilk onion rings. Juicy's in Tyler reminds me of our old place. Good burgers and great onion rings. The pot of beans is just icing on the cake.
For a FooFoo burger nothing beats the Love Shack in Ft Worth. The Dirty Love burger is special.

It's not a burger war, it's not a state pride thing, it's just the facts. Whataburger is a tasty burger. Double Double/w cheese animal style (it has to be animal style) is a tasty burger. Go for whatever you're hungry for or near by at the time. This debate is about the same as trying to determine if a chicken can actually be called a bird because it is shtty at flying..... Transplanted Texan here ... what is "animal style"?

But, you do have to know the program. http://www.in-n-out.com/secretmenu.asp
