What do you guys think. Initially I thought he was a blue gill because his stripes and body form, but the red part of his gill spot has me thinking he has some Redear in him. I haven't seen another gill like him.

I think mainly Blue Gill. It also looks like it could be a cross between a Redear and Gill. I was also trying to see the black dot on the rear dorsal fin however the fin is somewhat closed. Nice fish and healthy also.

I could definitely see it being a cross, but it may just be a weird patterend redear. Nice catch either way!

Looks more redear to me...but agree it could be cross.

Thanks guys. Most of the Redear that I have caught from that spot have been silverish with golden yellow bellies. This guy took me for a loop. If I find anymore like him I'll post pictures. Thanks again for the great replies.
