That's right the anglers of Mac Haik's Southway Ford have come together to put back into the fishing community and have donated $5,000 dollars to the first place team. These are a great group of people that share the same love for fishing that we do and wanted to make this an awesome event.

Now here is the best part... Entry fee is only $150.00 per 2 person team!! Wow!

This will be a team format and other places paid will be based on the number of entries. There will be a optional meeting and BBQ on Friday June 24th @ 6:00 pm at the gymnasium at the Calliham State Park for official registration and free food for all the anglers. Tournament will take place at the Calliham Unit at Choke Canyon on June 25th. All boats are required to have a boat inspection after launching the morning of the tournament. At safe light the National Anthem will be played and the boats will be released based on boat number. The official rules and registration is located on the website below. THERE IS NO DEADLINE FOR SIGN UP BUT BOAT NUMBERS WILL BE BASED ON ORDER OF REGISTRATION. So sign up early.

I also wanted to let everyone know that this is a charity event to help wounded military members and their families hosted by military members. This is our way to give back. If you can't make it to the event but want to help out you can donate through the website above. Thanks to all that have already helped out.

After talking with some folks we have decided that due to the lack of lodging in Three Rivers, the mandatory meeting and cookout will now be optional. We will take registration outside of the gymnasium at the Callihan Unit all the way up to releasing the boats at safe light.

We still encourage you to come out if you can find lodging for some free food and great prizes.

I can't think of a better reason to fish than for these people.
