I took my son out for a few hours scouting today. We only caught 38 keepers so I guess it did slow down a bit with this front.

yea!! cats don't really care about the fronts you just have to go to the windy bank!!! they willl be there feeding in most cases!!!!!!!

He just turned 4 back in March and has probably caught more fish this year than most guys on this board. His big fish today went just over 9 lbs. He lost another that was probably close to 15 lbs. The little #6 treble hook just didn't find a sweet spot and pulled loose near the boat.

I am going to hit Lavon today. Any advise as to catching some Shad? I usually go first light and load up at the ramp but since we couldn't go until after lunch I don't know if I will be able to get any shad. Any help would be appreciated.

You never know until you throw! I would think there would be more shad late in the day as the water warms up. Send us a report as I'm going in the morning.

not sure if it was the weather but we caught 43 yesterday and only caught 11 today.

Got there at 2:00 PM. Shad tough to come by at that hour of the day but I was able to scratch a few together and the fishing was great. Drifting in 12-15 feet of water but only fishing about 6 ft. deep. Don't know how many we caught but they were all thrown back for someone else to catch another day. Biggest about 5 lbs.

75 fish limit of blues and channel cats today plus 9 hybrids and 20 sandbass. Not too bad for a cold front in May.
