I'll be there too during that time. It's my first time down there.

Try the search function...some good info scattered about in here.

I have found limited wade fishing spots in that area because the ICW runs along the shoreline. In between Aransas Pass and Port A on 361 there is a spot you can wade near Steadmans. As you are heading towards the ferry landing coming from Aransas Pass it is on the right before Fin and Feather. I use a paddle tail with a 1/8oz jighead. Kayak rentals are cheap and can get you to some good wading spots without paddling too far. Good luck.

Holiday weekends are maddening. Amateur boaters everywhere, with no manners what-so-ever.

The causeway between AP and PA, as previously mentioned.
The causeway between CC and Padre Island
The area around Packery Channel
Wilson's Cut
Fish Pass

Good Luck.

enter in the wilson's cut area, turn right at the launch, go down and align yourself with Port Royale, stay on the hard pack sand, enter any of the 3 or 4 areas. it will be very muddy at first, but go towards the duck blinds and work the area as much as you can. live shrimp under popp'in cork, you should do fine...keep workin it.

fish will be along shorelines in sand pockets early, trout will move deeper, reds will move shallow later, hopefully winds will settle a bit, fish with a shrimp and popping cork.
