Along with a fellow TFF member, we have been throwing out this wild idea. A Texas Tournament Series. It would be open to anyone to fish. R&R, C&R and no trebles allowed. Entry could be from $10 a man to $50 a team. Tournaments could be held at any lake or river in the state of TX. Depending on the interest and amount of anglers depends on what type of format for pegs. They could be small 1 day events to 72 straight hours. We could also do some ultra light events with no more than 8lb test allowed. If it is possible organizer would need to verify weight or go on a trust basis. There would be 100% of entry paid back. How many fellow TFFer's would be in???

Keep it coming guys the more the better! Suggestions are very welcome, like a White Rock verses Lake Travis!

WE did it a few years ago in and interest was great at first but attendance slipped as time went on. Getting people to agree on dates and times was hard. Also fishing slows down in the summer so fall-spring series work best in order for people to have better chances unless you do it at night. Be wary of the trust system when money is involved. Pegging opposing contestant(s) within weighing distance of another contestant cuts down on the chance of cheating. And then finally you will have people who are not happy with your tournament. There is always going to be someone who complains or talks chit about how you did it.
Get past those hurdles and you will do great

Agreed on all points. I'll be in for whatever dates I can make. Look through the archives for Lonestar Carp Brigade Tournament Trail rules. Mark/Donnie did some early work with it, then Scott Townson(Brewboy) ran the most successful series we've had, and Scottevil held some more dates more recently. Chad

Yeah, way back when we did the Lone Star Tournament Trail, we had like, 30+ people at the first event, and by the time we got to the "Championship Round" out at Lake Athens...there were like, 8 anglers still interested lol.

When money is involved, I would be interested only if the far right peg is visible from the far left peg with all pegs visible in between and if I had a mediator walking the line that day and days in advance to prevent prebaiting or sabotaging a swim. Otherwise I have a better chance winning the lottery.
