I like the Albright knot, easy to tie and the line will break before the knot fails. Be sure to use 25 to 30 wraps for max strength.
Cheers,
George

I use a nail knot tool to tie a nested nail knot. Never had one fail.

Previously, I was using the uni-uni, but I have switched to the Double Albright. I do 9 wraps down and 9 wraps up, and it works so good I still wonder where this knot has been hiding all these years. It's the first truly streamlined knot that I've used, and when casting, or pitching, I can't tell it's there.

Same here !unreal strength and really easy to do.will never do another knot joining lines.

SAme here. Before, I was using a uni knot for all my line connections and leader connections. NOW I use the albright. It is a smooth knot. Double Albright is good also, but I make a decision before using the dbl-a. for me, it depends on the thickness of the lines I'm tying together. The important thing is lacing your wraps 9 up and then crossing those wraps with 9 down. This cinches the line. If neccessary, when tieing leaders, this knot can be tied while the boat is on plane to the next location during a tounament!

When using mono as a backer, the knot strength is not as important as keeping it small. You arre only attaching one line to the other. It's not a leader knot. Keeping the knot size small, will keep it from becoming an issue i a backlash get down in the spool.
