LAKE AMISTAD:
Our accommodation are the best on Lake Amistad. When you walk in it looks as if the owners packed their bags and left.

The housing is 6 trailers and cabins that are fully furnished with covered boat parking at your front door. All are relatively new; equipped with full kitchens, baths, bedrooms, living rooms, big screen TVs, huge decks, BBQ grills, and all the comforts of home. They are in a very secure neighborhood with lots of turn-around room for parking the truck and boat. Staying hooked up is a big plus when I am looking for a place to stay.

Another plus is having the whole club together in one place for cookouts, meetings and etc.. The facilities will accommodate 24 fisherman; plus any roll aways that may be needed. I can accommodate 20 more fisherman in the same neighborhood within 2 blocks of the main facility. This would allow a club of 44 plus members to get out of those motels and come on down for a great tournament weekend.

Pricing depends on the numbers of course. Basic Team Price per night is $70, which includes the tax. This is about the cost of a motel room on the lake but with all the comforts of home.

Stayed with Tommy last week. I was in the cabin in the third pic. Tommy's a good guy with a nice set up. I've stayed with him several times.

I can put a club of 24 guys together in 7 different trailers and another 16 fisherman just down the street.
It is located in the Black Brush area.

You guys must be the one's that are not paying hotel hot taxes or any taxes at all . Sorry, I'll stay someplace legal . What is the matter with "those" motels Harper ? I stay at Anglers . At least I know my stuff is protected there and very nice people . At least they support tournaments as do the other hotels. I got that info off the chamber of commerce list when looking for HOT tax money to bring a tournament there. I don't support those who don't pay their fair share.

Don't believe everything the media says. Tommy puts up all the BASS guys at his place and it is the best place on the lake.
The reason our economy is in ths S%%% hole is because of TAXES.

I just got back from a 11 night stay at the trailers. What a pleasure not to be crowded up in a motel room for that long stay.
Just having that big refrigerator and a means to cook made the trip most enjoyable.

We will be there for 7 nights in Oct. Only place we stay at Amistad. Love the lighted and covered parking.

I love when people get on here to bash other people when they have no clue. You must be buddies with the Anglers Lodge Folks.
I have been around here for 15 years and I am friends with the owners of Anglers (hopefully I will still be friends with them after this post) and I used to work for Anglers in the tackle store and I know Tommy and most of the others. First of all knowing what I know, the Anglers Lodge Groupies should not throw stones at all. I won’t say any details about the taxes but I will say that Tommy is doing what is right. The last time I checked it was none of mine, yours or any of the other hotels business how Tommy or anyone else runs the financial part of his business. Next, as far as supporting tournaments, I know for a fact that Tommy has donated more than his fair share to tournaments and organizations including the Anglers Lodge Summer Tournament Trail. The fish care portion, well Carl and I do that because we enjoy it and we are trying to show everyone that taking care of these fish will make a difference. Last but not least the security. I live in the area that Tommy has his trailers and we don't have a problem with stuff getting stolen, I am sure you can ask anyone that has stayed at Tommy's place and they will tell you the same thing.

Just so everyone knows I do not have any direct affiliation with Tommy's place (River Street Lodging) but my wife is the house keeper and she keeps these places super clean, well just look at the pictures.

Fishermen are smart enough to make decisions for ourselves so please in the future express your opinions, but keep the bashing to yourself until you know the facts.

If you guys like what you see in the pictures please give them a call you won't be disappointed and you can't beat the price anywhere especially for what you get.

Charles you are a good man. I have watched you come so far in the fishing world down at Lake Amistad. I look forward to seeing you next trip down, in November. Thanks for your input.

Location is one mile East of Anglers Lodge. You have the Hwy. 454 ramp and Blackbrush; both are within minutes.

Probably gonna get banned again. But i have to say what's on my mind. Who the he77 do you think you are JessieB. You read something from the chamber of commerce and make such an accusation. I have stayed with tommy matter of fact i have reservaions for November 18th and 19th and that is the only place i will stay at when i fish amistad 4 -5 times a year. Outstanding accomodations and i believe that Tommy does support the fishing industry by offering a nice place for a decent price. What more would you like from him to bait your dam hook for you also? If he pays property tax then he pays his fair share. I'm glad people like you stay somewhere else keeps you away from me. If i vanish from here it means i spoke my mind and hit the ban list again.

Do you allow pets? 12 pound Shih-tzu mix, goes on the boat with us.

Great place to stay and Tommy is a great guy.Place is spotless and well maintained.Would be great if he could upgrade his grills to gas. A lot faster and less hassle than charcoal.Could charge a little extra for the propane.Will stay there either way because it is a great place.

Sorry, no pets. He is working on a really nice set up to house your pet that will be finced in and climate controlled for it's comfort.

All accommodations are booked through March, with the exceptions of cancelations. Stay in touch and book you trips for April and May now.

Hmmmm, I have a 'ship coming this fall at Amistad. Price seems reasonable, place looks clean, rooms look clean. Not sure what else is needed.
If we choose to drive that far, we'll be looking to book.

I stayed a week at this place last year....I have fished and stayed at many places and this is by far the best. Cooked our own meals, watched TV on the flat screen, covered parking for the boats, three bedrooms, and great people. I will return...A++
