Just got back from Amistad and did good on numbers and fair on size. We caught a total of 82 fish with the largest at 7lb 7oz. About 10 in the 5 pound range, at least 40 in the 3 to 5 pound range and the rest were smaller males 2 to 2.5 pounds. Almost all were caught on Wm/Red 5 inch or 6 inch trick sticks either T-rigged or weightless. A few were also caught on C-rigged brush hog. Also tried chatterbait, crankbait and spinnerbait but only a couple on these. The shallow bite on weightless trick stick mostly produced the smaller fish with a few of the 3 and 4 pound size mixed in. We did meet a couple of guys at the ramp and they did good on Thursday fishing long shallow points with brush throwing weightless senko type baits in bubblegum color. The deeper bite in 15 to 25 feet off points gave us the larger fish and the average size of these were in the 3.5 to 5 pound range. Most of our time was spent in Mexico. Thursday afternoon we fished Little Zorro and Caballo, Friday was Lunker and Caballo, Saturday was Burro and House Cove and Sunday morning was Burro and Cow Creek. My friend Jim has most of the pics and I'll post more once he gets them to me, but here are a couple I had on my camera. Bryan's 5lb'er Jim's 4lb'er My 7.5lb'er Richard

Nice trip report, thanks. Btw, I can't believe how calm that water is in those pics. Usually when I go to Amistad it's blowing 30mph.

Thursday was like that, 20mph with 30mph gusts. Most of our spots were unfishable for me since I fish out of a center console boat. We were very fortuate to get calm days and mostly overcast mornings the rest of the weekend.
