14' aluminum v-hull with 9.9 Johnson. Where is a good place to launch and fish in the Galveston bay area? I'm not familiar at all.

I use to do well over on the NE Side, I would put in @
Fort Anahuac and catch reds, flounder and trout

I tend to stay around the West side, mostly in Chocolate Bayou and Bay. Some areas are protected from the wind and if not too windy you can get into West Bay easily.

I launch in Amsterdam at Lute's Marina and usually go downstream. There is a free launch at FM 2004 and Chocolate Bayou. Fishing can be good upstream or downstream from there.

Could launch at the Freeport side of SLP and power up the cut into Basstrop. Also I dont think you would have a problem at SLP as long as you pay attention to the weather, I fish it in a kayak all the time and have no problems.

Thanks for the great info. These will keep me busy for awhile. Anyone else have some good places?

I use to fish all the time in a 14ft boat jon boat all the time. You can go just about anywhere. Just stay off the open bays and close to land. With a little bigger motor, you could do some drift fishing as long as you watch the weather. I would probably launch a Hugo point or Fort Anahuac. Fish the bayou's or the power plant discharge.
