I just got back from a phenomenal fishing trip on the Sabine River. I fished with guide Andy Brockett of River Ridge Guide Service and enjoyed two incredible days of White Bass fishing. Upon arriving at the camp I was told that due to the low water conditions we'd be fishing an area about 25 miles upstream of the camp called the shoals. Here are some pictures from the trip. Day #1 After an adventerous boat ride through shallow water over submerged logs, rocks, and rapids we arrived at the shoals It didn't take long and we were hooking up with some quality Sabine Whites. This is a picture of my wife landing a good size fish The smile says it all Me holding one of the 75 fish we caught the first day My father-in-law with his prize catch A closer shot of the falls The boat ride back after a great day of fishing The final catch Hands down one of the best days on the water ever!

Wait, there's more. Day #2 A cool campsite next to the shoals Our guide Andy hooked into this monster Hybrid within the first ten minutes of fishing What the ??? - We all watched in dismay to see if the boat was going to fill up with water as they pushed it over the falls. And more importantly, how were they going to get it back up? Final catch for day 2. Andy's Hybrid puts our fish to shame. Chillin' back at camp The old dog Great times!

Thanks, Ryan. It felt great to get into the White Bass. With the creeks and rivers in Central Texas being so low this year I haven't caught many Whites. That made this trip all the sweeter.

I wondered how they were putting people back on limits, and suspected they had started the trips back up to the shoals. Congrats on the nice fish. The bite had died off behind Jane's place back at the beginning of March. Spent 3 full days out there then with 4 guys and only had 60 fish to show for 3 days of fishing. Did Jane make the run up there in her air boat?
