Hey yall,
Im thinking of joining membership for a Private Fishing Lake(s) near the Katy area.
I catch fish at all my local public fishing holes. But I never catch a good number of good-size fish.
I also want to be fishing in a nice place (not littered with trash from previous fishers, Im getting tired of picking up after them).
Can anyone recommend any? (the closer to Katy, the better).

You musta found Danbury Fish Farm, Lakes of Danbury is a bass fishing club next door.
Owner is Jim Thompson, very nice guy and keeps the place in great shape.
There are several other bass clubs in the neighborhood. Beiri Farms, then over in Damon is Seven Lakes and Live Oak Farms.
I got my own fishing club in Danbury, but it is currently full. I might have an opening next month.

I dont know if your into hunting, or ever wanted to hunt but you could also look into a deer lease with a small lake or ponds on the property. Then you could kill two birds with one stone. there are some very reasonable leases around, you just have to dig through the rich man 10k a year ones. Alot of times I see smaller leases with good fishing advertised for less than 2k, and limited to like 10 people. just a thought as some of these private clubs charge 1k-1500 yr, plus charge for guests and some charge daily fees ontop of the membership fee. I mean it may not be a "trophy" managed lake on the deer lease, but some that I have been on in the past have had really good fishing, year round access, guests are free, and not many people shareing the entire property. Also gives you a chance to camp or what ever. The bass clubs are great though as far as the quality of fish and facilities, so to each his own.

Never been hunting before, but would like to go someday.
But I definitely dont have the funds for a deer lease. Ive been strongly considering the clubs here, they dont seem bad at all for $500-$700 a year.
