What brand do you recommend for ease and fast sinking? A 6 or 7 footer!

Black Pearl.
Click each link to see what they offer. I use a joyfish with 3/8" mesh in 7' and a 1/4" mesh Ahi 600 in 7'

bait buster 3/8" 7footer, or the 1/2" 7 footer if you don't want to mess with the smaller shad.

I like the 7' Bait Buster in either 3/8" or 1/2" mesh. The 1/2" mesh will gill a 4" shad and anything smaller go right through. It's easier to throw than the 3/8" net and sinks like a rock. I can get any size Bait Buster shipped directly to your door at a pretty good price. PM or email me for prices if interested.

What are the prices for the cast nets listed? i looked into them and nearly choked on my soda....lol i usually use the ones from Walmart, but am going to have to start shopping around for a new net, as i am getting tired of re-stitching the one i have and will be looking for a decently priced net for the casual fisherman. I think the blue ones from Walmart are usually what i use, the 5 or 6 ft radius one.

Here's a price list for various sizes nets and mesh sizes. At this time, the only cast nets I will be selling are the Bait Buster nets. These are fast sinking hand-made cast nets with a 6 panel design with 1.5 lbs. per foot. Each net also comes with a 3.5 gallon storage bucket with snap on lid. These cast nets open easier, sink faster and work great for catching shad in deeper water during the winter months. I also throw my Bait Buster net year-round now even in shallow water.

Prices shown below include shipping and handling charges to most areas in Texas. Please contact me directly for other sizes not listed below. Pay Pal accepted as well as cash or money order.

Net Size Mesh Size Model Price
5' Radius 3/8" CBT-BB5 $85.00
6' Radius 3/8" CBT-BB6 $90.00
7' Radius 3/8" CBT-BB7 $95.00

5' Radius 1/2" CBT-BBA5 $80.00
6' Radius 1/2" CBT-BBA6 $85.00
7' Radius 1/2" CBT-BBA7 $90.00

5' Radius 5/8" CMN-BB5 $80.00
6' Radius 5/8" CMN-BB6 $85.00
7' Radius 5/8" CMN-BB7 $90.00

6' Radius 1/4" CBT-BBM6 $120.00
7' Radius 1/4" CBT-BBM7 $135.00

I went to the mustang ramp at bardwell about lunch time today. Got some threadfins, but it's so windy it was hard to throw. Gonna see if the wind dies down around sunset and see if the ramps are holding any gizzards.

You will appreciate the Baitbuster the first time you tear some brail lines and need to repair them. The swivel makes it so easy, I don't know that I'll buy anything else.

I agree that Baitbusters are the best. They stay limp and open up perfectly. I have owned many different brands, and the baitbuster is the easiest to repair after a hang up.
