Any good sushi places someone can suggest in the Lewsiville or Flower Mound area? I love me some sushi but have not had any since I moved to Texas. Need a suggestion as randomly trying sushi places is a bit of a crp shoot. Thanks guys

Asahi in Flower Mound. It's off Main Street(1171) between Morris and 2499. Try the summer roll, it's amazing!

Oishi off of Main in Lewisville. One of my personal favorites and I've been to a lot of sushi places.

I keep meaning to go back there for Omekase ( Chef's choice ) but haven't done so yet.

But everything I've had before has been fantastic.

Sushi Fugu in Flower Mound, near the AMC movie theater is pretty good too.

Also, Pirana Killer Sushi is opening in Flower Mound soon.

Asahi is great but they are off 2499 just sough of 3040.

Edohana is in the area described by scline999, it's not to bad either.

They both have a dish call the Tower that is mixed at your table, I would suggest you try it.

Never had that problem there, myself. And I do love me some Sashimi hehe.

I haven't tried Edohana yet, but it's on my too try list.

While they're not in the Lewisville area, I'd highly recommend both Mr. Sushi, off Belt Line in Adisson, and Hiu Chuan in Fort Worth.

I had a full meal of Omekasa, Chefs Choice, at Mr. Sushi, and it was truly incredible.

Mr. Sushi is more of a "Traditional" japanese sushi joint.

www.mrsushidallas.com

Hiu Chuan on the other hand, is more of an asian-fusion Sushi joint, but is some of the best sushi/asian food I've had. Again, something chefs choice or from the white board would be heavily recommended.

Like Starless said, wait till Pirana Killer Sushi opens in the April/May timeframe. Awesome sushi/sashimi and their rolls are killer (as the name proves...). I go to the one in Sundance Square as often as I can. The roll selection is HUGE and the sauces they come up with are awesome. A side benefit is their martini's, also very good.

Asahi is off Cross Timbers (1171) and Morriss, next to the CVS, and is nowhere near 3040.. I live less than a mile from there and it is the best sushi in the area.

I love that place too. I sometimes drive there from Allen to eat sushi.

If you are in Frisco try Kotta off Lebanon and the Tollway. Best Sushi in DFW in my opinion.

You should try Hiu Chuan sometime, as well. It's a few miles away, but not too far, it's down Camp Bowie, across from the Ridglea Theater.

I can vouch for Oishi off of Main in Lewisville. Never been disappointed, and if you eat at the sushi bar and speak with the cooks they'll create some really good specials for you that aren't on the menu.

Anyone know when Piranha Killer Sushi opens in Flower Mound? I drove by it the other day, the place sure looks like it's just about ready.

As soon as they're open and I've got the funds, I'm gonna cruise by to test out their new sushi chefs hehe.

Which basically just means sitting at the sushi bar and ordering "Omekase", also known as Chef's choice.

Mt. Fuji in Highland Village, near the AMC theater, is also really good.

It's very, very fancy inside, and their prices are a little bit higher then comparable sushi places, but the food was very good.

Sumo Roll with spicy Tuna and Lobster:

Sashimi like crazy:

Anyone here tried Sushi Khan on 407 in Highland Village? I haven't been there but it gets good reviews on Urban Spoon. Aside from one person who says the server went on a spending spree with their card. But with all the other good reviews, I can't help but wonder if that's legitimate or not.

Anyway, just wondered if anyone had tried it. I'd definitely like to try their Sushi even if I pay cash hehe.

Bumping this thread back up.

Tried Asasi in Flower Mound recently, and it was excellent. It was actually a family members birthday dinner with some relatives and family friends visiting, so we sat at the Hibachi Table rather then just the sushi bar.

But, the Hibachi experience was fantastic, some of the best food, and the most entertaining chef act I've seen at one of those places in a long time.

Very high quality. As it was their birthday, the place also came out, took our groups picture, and soon returned with the picture made into a birthday card for free, along with free ice cream.

I also tried some sushi as an appetizer and really enjoyed it. Need to go back specifically for Sushi now!
