That's all fine and dandy, but I'm either fishing or I'm not. It doesn't matter what direction the wind is blowing, what the solunar tables say, or what the witch doctor told me, if I've got the time (and permission), I'm goin' fishin'.

I'm with Red...almost. If I am in need of wetting a line or shooting a bird, I'm probably going to give it a go. The weather might dictate where and how I do the aforementioned, but it's probably going to happen.

Well of course we didn't catch any fish...just look at the atmospheric pressure. The fact that we're also in a bar might have been a rate limiting factor.

If you have an iphone, this little app is great for all things weather, tide, river flows, sun and moon stages. You can view all this stuff by location. They have one right below lella, one on white rock creek, and a bunch on the brazos. http://www.fishheadapp.com/

My Feild & Stream watch has weather trend, tide graphs, sun and moon phases and baro pressure. If most or all of those things line up for excellent conditions, I drop everything (except family) and go fishing. It's very handy to be able to look down and have the info you need.
