Well if I would've had a decent guide, maybe it would have been 6.

I thought that it wasn't that low. Check out Bass Colonel last trip on you tube. He said what I said.

Was out this past saturday from 1-5:30 and put 15 in the boat on a square bill crank and a shaky head. Most fish in 4ft or less. Most of the fish looked ready to pop.

I fished last Sunday and the wind was howling so it really limited where I could fish. I ended up with 4 in the boat and missed lost/missed at least 3 others on lizards/crank bait. Water temp was 65 and the lake is down at least 1.5-2 feet. A lot of my spots from last year are no good now due to the low water. This Saturday is looking windy as well but may be ok on Sunday. I'm dreaming of my 7 day trip to Lake Fork during Spring Break!

I may try tomorrow. Hopefully the winds will be calm so I can try some finesse fishing.

Took my big Lab out for a swim in the lake today not getting on the water until 10am. Water Temp:65. Winds:South Overcast Water; Stained .....Lake level has just come up to normal level after being 2-3feet low as Power plant must have purchased and pumped in much needed water. Looks like new higher lake level may have compromised previously make beds as they cannot be seen. Left lake by 3pm.

Boated and weighed total of 8 Bass each between 4 and 5 lbs and also several unders....one of my better days in a while for this lake.

Also had to remove treble hook from my lab's nose....Hurt me more than it did him.

Lou r Pitcher, glad to hear the lab is doing ok. Sorry I couldn't get over to your boat fast enough to help get the hook out.

Nice fish.

Here's the only one I managed to catch.

Yea, looks like you too snagged a hungry Gibbons pre-spawn female there.....Never seen so many egg laden females and so few males bite pre-spawn. I'm kind of wondering if all the males were too busy rebuilding their deep beds since the water just came up? hmmm I only caught one more after I saw you. Yesterday, I was just going out to try to spot some beds for next full moon and got lucky and happened to find some of the gals all staged up together.

But thanks again about the Lab.

Went out yesterday from 1:30 to 5. Pretty slow. Missed 3-4 bites. Got one 3-4 pounder in the boat. Only bites were on a watermelon brush hog.

Water level was at least 2 feet higher than 2 weeks ago. Water was muddy and around 65 degrees.

Surprised it was so slow for this time of year in a warm water lake. The time of day and Saturday cold front may have slowed everything down. But, still no good patterns and not a lot of spawning activity that I can find.

Haven't done any Crappie fishing.

Sunday was definitely slow. I think the cold front and drop in water temp affected the fish. I ended up with 4. First was 5lbs 4oz in 8 ft and the 3d was 3lbs 10oz in about 3 ft of water. Both were caught on CBs.

Thanks; He knows he better give them a quick taste as they go back into the lake and on most days its a long wait before he gets to see me catch the next one.
