They sell half sized bats at most sporting goods stores especially for that, very handy for taming a 5ft shark in a kayak, or maybe a damn dirty hardhead.
As to the actual question here, I have no idea as I live in Houston, just didnt want you to think we actually didnt understand what kind of club you were seeking

I don't know of any per se. I wouldn't doubt that there are however. Some of the more social type fisherman on here might know. I mostly fish alone. If I want company I go out on my FIL bass boat and listen to him run his suck. Usually the only time I invite buddies is for overnight trips, and road trips and such.

DFW chapter of TKF gets together informally several times throughout the year. Sometimes at kayak shops and sometimes at area lakes. From there we get together for smaller groups for various fishing trips. Next GTG will be April 16 at Ray Roberts.
Also, calling us a club would be a stretch... No officers, no bank account etc.. More like an anarcho-syndicalist commune. We take it in turns and act as a sort of executive officer for the week.
(sorry, slipped into some Monty Python there.)
You can't expect to wield supreme executive power just 'cause some watery tart threw a sword at you!
