#5 Shad Raps - Silver. Best lure i have found for trolling the whites. Tried many others and caught, but always come back to that shad rap

Try a Bomber 6A-ASI color - silver flash. 12 lb test it will go down to 14 ft. Great lure to troll between 9am-4pm

Thanks for info. I think I'll troll three or four rods and try different lures.

We trolled at Medina lake with downriggers last Friday. However we caught the biggest whites including a nice bass dragging a white Bomber A between the downriggers. We had a kicker outboard on and were probably going about 3 mph.

stay away from the slabers and casters ... there is a faction on fishermen here that down like or tolerate the idea of trolling. that said, i troll and have for 10 years with great success. electric downriggers help but arent needed, crankbaits work well Bomber A's to DD-22's all work - find the fish and use the lure that'll get down to there level. a lot of times once you've located the fish you can stop and cast. soft plastics- spoons - slabs and fly's - goodluck clete

As a fellow "caster" I don't like "trollers" run'n between 3-4 guys set up slab'n. When fish school on top and birds are working, please do not troll thru them. If a "troller" finds a school 1st, go for it! I would not stop in front of a troller, I give'm space. If ya dont want to pay $ 4.00 for pet spoons try this: http://www.moestackleshop.com/estore/details/4039Try this video as well: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mrs6twaryUkYou should call Jimmy Smith too
