Where can I buy a good crawfish net to drag ditches and catch my own crawfish?

Hey Bob,
I picked up a large minnow net with a 5' handle from Academy a couple weeks back. Think I paid about 6 bucks for it. Dredged up all the crawfish I could use for bait. Let me tell you, tipping a jig with the tail meat and going after spawning white bass was a killer. Standing next to my buddy using a plain roadrunner and I outfished him 2-1. I've got the perfect crawfish ditch within a mile of my house.

WalMart has a ten foot minnow seine that work well for us. We just attach the handles from a couple of old mops or brooms. It does need two people to drag ditches. The five foot one mentioned above could be used by one person.

Thanks for the info. I've tried Academy a few times and never seen that one, but I'll keep looking. My son and I caught 46 nice whites last Saturday on Sabine. It is hard to beet crawfish. Thanks again, Bob

As a kid, we took two 2x2's, four feet long. Drilled a hole near the ends for a bolt so you can get a scissor effect. Attached a couple feet of old minnow sein with a staple gun. One person can dredge or, more effective is have someone chase crawdads or helgremites into the net.
