Has anyone been up this week to see what the water looks like?
Has it cleared after the rain and snow?
Anyone catching anything, gonna try it out this Friday or Saturday.

I was wondering the exact same thing - and thinking of going Friday.

If I get the chance I will be there Friday, got some work to do on the truck, but should be done by 10 or so, figure bundle up, hit BP for some more jigs, and give it another shot. I am 0-2 for crappie, but am still learning the creek and crappie fishin.

So may see you there.

I'm gonna try he banks this weekend. I got some new Finny Tribe slab bandits from the Outdoor Show, hopefully I'll have some better luck.

I'm planning on going over there on Friday. I'm pretty new to Crappie fishing, and planning to hit the area with jigs under a bobber.

Look for my old white Chevy truck with the TFF forum sticker on the back.

I was up Tuesday and still very muddy. But with the nice weather it should clear pretty fast.

I was there Tuesday afternoon and yes, water was muddy, but crappie are in there, and people aren't because of the cold weather. Used 1/16 lead with Black metal flake Maribou jig about 1.5' under a bobber over submerged cover and had a VERY PRODUCTIVE DAY!!!!

Went today and the creek was completely froze over and the water was like chocolate milk. It will probably be Saturday/Sunday before they start hitting good again. I didn't get so much as a nibble.

So how far down towards the lake before you get to unfrozen water?
May put off going until Saturday

Yeah, if anyone goes over their let us know what the ice situation is and water quality.

Hi tomorrow will be 44 and the BP has been dropping since 8am this morning. Tomorrow's Hi will be 6 degrees warmer than today's and the low 10 degrees warmer, so it should melt some of that ice.

Truth be known - a little bit of ice isn't going to the stop Crappie from biting grin

Well I am still learning the whole crappie fishing thing, so I hope that the ice will melt, don't need any barriers between me and some fishies , not to worried about the cold as I will layer up and have some of those handy dandy hand warmers to keep the hands all toasty.
Well that and the whole standing on a bank looking like an idiot
eeks
